Gold Line extension stays on back burner.

Feb. 25--County Supervisor Michael Antonovich on Thursday failed to muster the votes needed to list the planned Gold Line extension to Montclair as a top funding priority for the MTA.
Instead, the MTA board voted 8-3 to refer Antonovich's motion to staff, effectively tabling it, and refused to take action on a plan to turn control of the project over to the 10 cities along the extension route.
Antonovich's office said the board's inaction should serve as a wake-up call for San Gabriel Valley cities that the project may be further off than they have hoped.
