Filtration Group raises mayor's hopes for Plant 19.

Feb. 24--YORK -- Filtration Group Inc., a Midwest-based company with two sites in York, could bring 100 more jobs to the city if the company buys a former cotton mill known as Plant 19.

"We have not purchased the building," Dave Flynn, director of manufacturing, said about Plant 19, which sits off U.S. 321 in York. "It's under consideration. We're doing fact finding to make sure this facility will suit our needs both long-term and short-term."

In the 1990s, Plant 19 was home to Fieldcrest Cannon and Ameriparts, a textile mill and used car part vendor, respectively.

Flynn could not offer a specific timetable to cement the deal in York.
