National Restaurant Association Applauds President's Continued Support of AHPs; Says AHPs Essential to Patients' Rights Compromise

WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The National Restaurant Association applauded President Bush's public comments made yesterday to the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he reiterated his support for Association Health Plans (AHPs). The Association continues to stress to the president and Congress that such a measure must be part of any compromise health care bill.

"We were pleased to hear the president reiterate his support for AHPs and look forward to working with him to provide small business employees greater access to health care coverage," said Steven C. Anderson, president and chief executive officer of the National Restaurant Association.
