U.S. Labor Secretary to Announce e-Government Strategic Plan

U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao will unveil the E- Government Strategic Plan for the Department of Labor on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Department of Labor Auditorium.
Secretary Chao will highlight the Labor Department's role in promoting the Bush Administration's E-Government initiative, which was designed to facilitate a more proficient interface between citizens and the federal government.
U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam (R-FL), the recently named chairman of the House Subcommittee on Technology, Information Policy, Intergovernmental Relations and the Census and Mark Forman, Office of Management and Budget associate director for information technology and E-Government, will join Secretary Chao and other labor...
