Study Predicts 'Mayday' for U.S. Aviation Industry Unless Congress Blocks Bid to Federalize Air Traffic Control

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 1 /U.S. Newswire/ -- As Congress considers legislation to tighten the government's grip on the nation's Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, a study released today from the 335,000- member National Taxpayers Union (NTU) warns that ailing airlines and wary travelers are in for a worse ride unless lawmakers commit to a new commercialized system now.
