Hastert Commends Bush Administration on Boeing Tankers; 'The Right Decision for National Security'

WASHINGTON, May 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Speaker of the House J. Dennis Hastert today commended the announcement by the Bush Administration to lease at least 100 767 refueling tankers from Boeing Corporation.
"This is the right decision for national security," Hastert said. "We found out during the Iraq engagement that we didn't have enough tankers to service the needs of our fighters, and that we had to rely on our allies for help. By taking this important step, we will improve our long term security needs."
