National Press Club Selects NBC's Tom Brokaw as 2003 Fourth Estate Award Winner

The National Press Club has named Tom Brokaw, anchor and managing editor of the NBC Nightly News, as the recipient of its 2003 Fourth Estate Award.
The award, which is the NPC's top honor, goes annually to an individual who has achieved distinction for a lifetime of contributions to American journalism. Brokaw is the thirty-first honoree in a list that includes Walter Cronkite, David Broder, Helen Thomas, Theodore White, Robert Novak and, in 2002, C-SPAN Chairman and CEO Brian Lamb.
The award will be presented at a black tie dinner on Wednesday, November 19, at the club.
