DeLay: Setting the Right Policies, Fighting the Right War; House Passes Bipartisan 9/11 Commission Implementation Act

WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) today said that the 9/11 Commission Implementation Act uses the right process and the right policies to prevent further terrorist attacks and move the United States closer to victory in the war on terror. The House of Representatives passed this landmark legislation today by a vote of 282-134. Over a third of House Democrats voted for the bill.
"This bill makes difficult choices. It sets tough policy. And it will reaffirm the one fact that too often is ignored by too many: we are at war," DeLay said. "And the first priority in this war is the protection of Americans.
