AARP Kicks Off Consumer Protection Week; Urges Strong Consumer Legislation for Home Improvements and Cell Phone Service

ALBANY, N.Y., Feb. 7 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Today, AARP and its New York members joined together in Albany to kick off "Consumer Protection Week" by urging strong consumer protections in the home improvement and cell phone industries. Home improvements and cell phones are two important tools that help older New Yorkers age independently in their communities; AARP believes it is critical to ensure they have the consumer protections they deserve and need.
