IEEE Computer Society Seeks Nominations for 'Technology of the Decade Award'; June 15 Deadline Set

WASHINGTON, April 17 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The IEEE Computer Society is seeking nominations for its 60th Anniversary "Technology of the Decade Award," which will recognize a significant contribution to innovative information technology over the past decade. Nominations are due by Thursday, June 15.

While the technology behind this contribution might have been developed as many as 25 years ago, its impact over the past 10 years (1996-2005) is paramount, according to Dr. Edward A. Parrish, chair, Board of Judges, and president emeritus at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass.
