NEW YORK, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Tourism Tasmania has announced two programs designed to lesson the impact of tourism on the environment and preserve the island's natural assets.
First "Green Class" Travel To Australia Unveiled: On February 1, 2007, Tourism Tasmania, in partnership with Goway Travel, will launch the first ever "Green Class" travel to Australia. Tourism Tasmania will offset the carbon emissions generated by international flight to Tasmania by buying carbon credits -- up to $100 per passenger -- for all Tasmania vacations purchased through Goway Travel in February 2007.
