SEATTLE, June 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In the 1960s, a group of civil engineering students had what everyone thought was a crazy idea: they would design, build and race canoes made of concrete. Despite their success, no one would have believed that a national competition would evolve from the experiment, or that in 2007, the national competition would be celebrating its 20th annual event.
