Pennsylvania Education Secretary Urges Schools to Pursue 'Common Cents' Approach To Spending

HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Education Secretary Gerald L. Zahorchak today encouraged public schools across Pennsylvania to take advantage of a new initiative that's designed to help them target more money to promoting learning rather than meeting operational costs.
The 2007-08 state budget provides $1 million for the Common Cents program to promote shared services among school districts and intermediate units that want to save money and resources.
