Grant to help workers affected by closure of Delphi Corp. divisions
WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Department of Labor today announced a grant of $1,803,148, with an initial release of $598,241, to Wisconsin to assist approximately 400 workers affected by the closure of both the Electrical and Safety and Powertrain divisions of Delphi Corp. in Oak Creek.
This $1.8 million grant will enable Wisconsin workers who have been affected by the closures to get the help they need to find new jobs, said U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao.
