Stainforth to become CEO of Durlacher.

Christopher Stainforth, a UK director at Ermgassen & Co, the boutique finance house, is to take over from Geoffrey Chamberlain as chief executive of Durlacher, the technology investment bank.

Stainforth confirmed he was leaving Ermgassen. He said: "It's a long story, but it's very friendly."

Durlacher was unavailable for comment. Chamberlain, Durlacher's chairman and managing director, last month said he was relinquishing the chief executive role and was interviewing candidates for the post.

Stainforth will take some Ermgassen colleagues with him to Durlacher, including Richard Swindells, who will work in the technology bank's UK corporate finance team.
