Giovanni Beliossi is leaving First Quadrant's London operation at the end of May. Beliossi, who reports to Alex Weiland, director of European sales and marketing, was an associate director for alternative investments. First Quadrant is a fundamentally based quantitative manager based in Pasadena.
The firm, which has $14.7bn ([euro]16bn) is assets, offers tactical asset allocation, hedge funds and currency management. Beliossi is also the European co-ordinator of the investor risk committee's (IRC) steering group. The IRC is part of the International Association of Financial Engineers, which was created in 2000 to provide a forum to discuss the optimum level of disclosure between hedge funds and investors.
