Aima issues best practice guide for hedge funds.

The Alternative Investment Management Association (Aima) and leading members of the hedge fund community have published a guide aimed at helping hedge fund managers to better run their businesses.Prime brokers and other hedge fund service providers such as legal and accountancy firms regularly turn away start-up hedge fund managers based on doubts about their ability to run an efficient business.

But Aima is keen to point out that the 'Guide to sound practices for European hedge fund managers' is not an attempt to set out definitive standards or an exhaustive list of requirements that could serve as a benchmark against which conduct should be assessed.
