Franklin Templeton boosts Swiss insitutional business.

Franklin Templeton Investments has bolstered its Swiss institutional business with the appointment of Elzbieta Banz as marketing director for Switzerland.Banz, who previously served as investment director for continental Europe at Fidelity Investments in London, will be based in Geneva with FTI Banque Fiduciary Trust, FTI's Swiss operation.

The firm is the second largest non-domestic asset manager in Switzerland, with [euro]1.72bn ($1.75bn) of pension fund assets as of the end of June. The firm was recently appointed as US small cap manager to the $20bn Ausgleichsfonds der Alters-und Hinterlassenversicherung, a federal society security fund based in Geneva.
