Barclays Capital hires Ritter to US government bond team.

Barclays Capital has recruited Edward Ritter from Deutsche Bank as a director in its US government bond trading team based in New York.Ritter will be responsible for market making in the short coupon sector of the government bond curve. He will report to John Roberts, head of the US primary dealership at Barclays Capital.

Ritter joins Barclays Capital after 13 years at Deutsche Bank Securities in New York, where he worked most recently as a US government bond trader with responsibility for flow and proprietary trading in short maturities. Before that, he was a finance trader and traded overnights, off-the-run coupons, bills, agencies and term repos.
