Merrill's Dawson joins Tricorn Partners.

Guy Dawson, a top Merrill Lynch investment banker, is leaving the US firm to become a founding partner of Tricorn, the new corporate finance house.Tricorn was set up earlier this year by Justin Dowley, Michael Pescod and Alton Irby, all formerly partners at Gleacher & Co, the US corporate finance boutique.

Dawson is vice-chairman of investment banking at Merrill Lynch where he has worked for seven years, joining from Morgan Grenfell to help build up its corporate finance business.
