Insight Investment, the fund management arm of HBOS, is pressing the UK government to be more active in promoting international standards of corporate responsibility.The fund manager wants the government to put responsibility guidelines issued by the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) at the heart of its corporate responsibility policy. Rory Sullivan, head of investor responsibility at Insight, says: "The OECD guidelines are great but they are not being implemented and they are being undermined by the government."
