A strong performance in corporate finance, financial markets and private equity helped propel full-year net investment banking profits at ABN Amro to [euro]387m ($485m) compared with a loss of [euro]294m a year earlier.The Dutch bank said on Wednesday that net profits from its wholesale clients business unit, which focuses on investment banking, increased by 22% to [euro]163m in the fourth quarter of 2003 from [euro]134m in the previous quarter, while revenues rose by 10% to [euro]1.49bn.
