Robertiello joins Asset Alliance from Blackstone.

Asset Alliance Corporation, a New York based alternative investment firm with $4bn ([euro]3.2bn) of assets under management, has hired Ed Robertiello from Blackstone, the private equity group, as a senior managing director of investment and research.Robertiello has 15 years experience in investment management. At Blackstone he was managing director responsible for identification and selection of managers for the $8bn fund of hedge funds affiliate, Blackstone Alternative Asset Management.

At Asset Alliance he will oversee hedge fund strategy and manager allocations, selection, due diligence and monitoring of the firm's multi-manager programmes.
