Venture with Nissho Iwai to set up B2B trading exchange, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 05-08-2000 JAPANESE international trading and investing house Nissho Iwai Corp (NIC) has formed a joint venture with Computer Associates International Inc (CA) to set up the first worldwide cross-industry B2B (business-to- business) trading exchange. The 50:50 joint venture company, Cynomix Corp, will enable buyers and sellers in any industry around the world to transact business via the Internet. Leveraging CA's intelligent e-business platform and Nissho Iwai's expertise as a sogo-shosha (general trading company), Cynomix will provide all eTrade Lifeline services - such as logistics, finance, insurance and credit control - to create a unique e-marketplace, a new model for conducting global business-to-business e-commerce.
