`Online stocks to represent 15pc of all trades by 2003', BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 06-07-2000 ONLINE stock trading in Malaysia is set to take off in tandem with countries like South Korea and Japan and will eventually represent 15 per cent of all trades by 2003, says Investor Xchange's managing director Fahizul Khairi. Investor Xcahnge is the country's first independent Internet financial portal that enables Internet trading with participating equities and future brokers.
Asia is already leading the world in online stock trades and South Korea leads the pack with an estimated 1.4 million local investors there investing via the Internet in 1999.
