Mitsubishi recalls alternate director on Proton board to its headquarters, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 08-10-2000 MITSUBISHI Motor Corp of Japan, a major shareholder of Perusahaan Otomobil National Bhd (Proton), has recalled its appointed alternate director in the national carmaker, Mr. Fumio Yoshimi. Yoshimi had only been appointed to the board on July 17. The vast international experience of the Japanese carmaker's general manager for South-East Asia is needed more urgently in Japan following the recently announced collaboration with Daimler-Chrysler of the US, a Mitsubishi official said.
