Business Times (Malaysia) 01-30-2001 KUALA LUMPUR, Sun. - International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz today urged more countries to speak up in support of a new international financial architecture which will eradicate the ability of "big powers" to dictate terms.
She said while many countries shared Malaysia's views on the need for reform, they did not express their opinions or make suggestions. "Times have changed and many countries feel the way we do. They are unhappy with the way things are run but not enough countries are voicing their grievances or coming up with suggestions on the changes that need to be made.
