Business Times (Malaysia) 01-31-2001 TRADE, tourism, Islamic banking and information technology are potential areas in the United Arab Emirates waiting to the tapped by Malaysian businessmen. Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, who returned yesterday from a four-day visit to the UAE to promote bilateral trade, said there were vast opportunities for joint ventures.
"As far as trade is concerned, the UAE can become the gateway for Malaysian products and services to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar," he said in Kuantan.
