New BMW 325i expected to be leader in its markets segment, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 02-13-2001 AUTO Bavaria, the importer of BMW cars in Malaysia, expects its newly launched BMW 325i model to enhance BMW's position as the leader in its market segment. The company sold 2,085 BMW cars last year, a 71.04 per cent increase from 1,219 cars in 1999.
The company currently has 0.6 per cent share of the market where non- national cars dominate with 19.5 per cent share of the total car segment. The new 325i is one of the new models introduced worldwide by BMW, this year, and superceeded the sold-out 328i model. The 2001 model, powered by the latest generation of BMW's renowned straight-six petrol engine with a displacement of 2,495cc that churns out 192 bhp/141kW and maximum torque of 245Nm at 3,500rpm is capable...
