Boeing expands beyond airplanes, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 05-08-2001 KUCHING, Sat. - The State Government has been allocated about RM100 million under the Eighth Malaysia Plan to build low-cost houses in Sarawak. Federal Minister of Housing and Local Government Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said the allocation was for 1,750 low-cost houses in Kuching, Kota Samarahan and Bintulu.

"All these low-cost houses are meant to be rented out to the lower- income group who cannot afford to buy the houses built by the public and private sectors," Ong said at the launch of the low-cost flats at Taman Sepakat Indah in Sejingkat Industrial Estate, near here, today.
