Business Times (Malaysia) 09-28-2001 THE outlook for the global economy does not look very bright in the months ahead, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) says, noting that signs of a slowdown were already present before the September 11 attacks on the US. But lower interest rates and other policy measures taken by the world's governments in the past two weeks should see world economic activities rebounding by the first half of next year to go on to post a robust 3.5 per cent growth for 2002, up from a projected 2.5 per cent this year.
