Wait-and-see approach to investing in tech sector, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 08-06-2002 ANALYSTS are still cautious about whether the recovery in the technology sector can be sustained as investor confidence continues to fall in the US, the largest consumer of technology products. Although the US Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has reported that quarterly sales increased 5.8 per cent to US$11.35 billion (US$1 = RM3.80) in the June quarter from US$10.73 in the March quarter this year, Malaysian investors are not buying into semiconductor stocks as yet.
