Supachai seen more aware of concerns of poor nations, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 08-31-2002 MALAYSIA anticipates the World Trade Organization's (WTO) future policies to be more sympathetic to developing countries with Thai former deputy premier Supachai Panitchpakdi as its director-general. Supachai assumes the post tomorrow. International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said Supachai, being from a developing country, will understand situations faced by developing countries in WTO negotiations.
