Public Bank targets ISO certification for all branches, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 02-12-2003 PUBLIC Bank Bhd plans to have all its branches certified under the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System for customer service in loan delivery by the end of the year. Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Teh Hong Piow said the move is part of the bank's target of bank-wide certification.

This is also in line with Bank Negara Malaysia's objective of Service Quality Index for banks, which aims to achieve world-class service quality in the financial services industry. He was speaking at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday to award the ISO 9001:2000 certification to Public Bank's head office and three branches.
