Citibank eyes 20pc growth in credit card take-up rate, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 02-18-2003 CITIBANK Bhd expects its credit card take-up rate to grow by 20 per cent for the current financial year ending December 31 2003, up from its current card base of 950,000. A similar 20 per cent increase is projected for its new Citibank Silver credit card, from the 450,000 cards in circulation, said director Allen Tan.

The new Citibank Silver credit card sports a new look and logo. It also comes with an additional function - a flexipayment plan that allows the cardholder to convert any purchases above RM500 to an affordable monthly instalment plan.
