Sony to consolidate two plants, BUSINESS TIMES

Business Times (Malaysia) 12-04-2003 THE Direct Selling Association of Malaysia (DSAM) expects revenue from member companies to grow by 15 to 20 per cent next year in view of the country's positive economic outlook. Last year, DSAM members recorded a combined sales turnover of more than RM2.29 billion, or a 25.8 per cent increase from RM1.82 billion in 2001.
The RM2.29 billion turnover constitutes about 60 per cent of the total industry sales of RM3.9 billion. As at April this year, there are 420 companies with direct selling licences employing more than 20,000 staff and four million distributors nationwide.
