Sun Life of Canada is encouraging companies to offer wellness programs to employees by giving a group life premium discount to those that do. Savings could be approximately $715 million each year if every insured US employer were to initiate such a program. Companies that do offer wellness programs are the ones that insurance companies prefer to insure. Wellness programs are growing more popular among firms.

Sun Life of Canada is putting the home office wellness experience of its U.S. operation to work for insureds by giving a group life premium discount of up to five percent to companies offering wellness programs.
