Feds to drop indictment against Dale. (Mississippi Insurance Commissioner George Dale)

The federal case against Mississippi Insurance Commissioner George Dale has been dropped by the US Attorney's Office in Jackson, MS. Dale had been indicted for allegedly granting preferential treatment to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi in exchange for campaign contributions. US Attorney Kent McDaniels did not say whether the federal government would file another indictment against Dale. Dale has denounced the US Attorney's Office's actions as a 'witch hunt.'
