Chase Life and Annuity Service Center (Classic) VP Robert K. Gallmann reports that Classic, the insurance products group of the Chase Manhattan Bank, has expanded its insurance product lines and is repositioning itself in the annuities and life insurance markets. Classic was created in 1994 when Chase consolidated its life insurance marketing operations in-house, a process that had been evolving for several years. Product line extensions will include disability, long-term care and variable life insurance.

Over the past year, Chase Man-hattan Bank has undergone a major internal reorganization of the management of its life insurance marketing--pulling it in-house, expanding the product line, and positioning life insurance and annuities as core businesses.
