Growing attention focused on impact of tort reforms.

Even defense attorneys support some form of tort reform, whether just products liability or a broader reform effort, to restore the public's faith in the fairness of the civil justice system. The US Senate is currently considering tort reform proposals and the effort is supported by the Lawyers for Civil Justice who encourage punitive damage reform in addition to joint and several liability reform. The reform effort could increase insurance companies' business by reducing the risk of product liability damages.
