Accounting firm Ernst & Young (E&Y) has hired Strategic Management Systems (SMS) to help it develop a healthcare compliance team. The team, which springs from E&Y's belief that executives, professional advisers and others are more vulnerable than ever to healthcare-fraud-related penalties, will offer E&Y's clients advice on creating compliance programs. Richard Kusserow, who served as the US Dept of Health and Human Services' inspector general for 11 years, heads SMS.
