The Donald F. Barnes Awards for Public Service were presented for the first time during the recent Life Communicators Association annual meeting in New Orleans.
The premise behind awards, jointly sponsored by the LCA and the National Underwriter Co., is this: Life and health insurance and related financial services companies committed to public service deserve recognition for their achievements as corporate citizens.
