ABU DHABI NATIONAL HOTELS COMPANY EARNS DH 100 MILLION IN FIRST HALF OF 2002

According to Al-Watan newspaper (August 18, 2002), the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company earned 100 million Emirati dirhams in total profits in the first half of 2002. Thisprofit volume is similar to the company's profits during the first half of 2001, which totaled $101 million. The Deputy Director General of the Company, Ahmed Al- Meheiry, stated that the company's profits from the hotel sector increased from 50.5 million Emirati dirhams to Dh 56.2 million during the same period.
In addition, the profits of the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company from supplies, food, public procurements, tourism and transportation sectors reached Dh 68.9 million in the first half of 2002, a 2.3 percent rise compared with the first half of 2001.
