GENERAL ELECTRIC AWARDED CONTRACT TO PROVIDE MILITARY KITS.

(DoD) General Electric Aircraft Engine, General Electric Company, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $15,500,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 30 Low Rate Initial Production T58 Engine Reliability Improvement Program Module kits for the Marine Corps H-46E helicopters. These kits will replace the gas path portion of the T58-GE-16 engine.

Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity (N00019-02-C-3021).
