DIRECT AIR LINE BEIJING-CAIRO TO START OPERATE THIS YEAR

According to Al-Hayat newspaper (August 11, 2002), a delegation of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority departed yesterday to China for a 10 days visit. During the visit, the delegation will meet with Chinese civil aviation authority officials to complete discussions between the two parties regarding the opening of the new direct air line between the capitols of the two countries before the end of the current year.
According to the Egyptian ambassador to China, the new line will serve not only for passenger movement, but also for commodity and postal movement between China and the Middle East and North Africa region.
