DEVELOPMENTAL STUDIES TO THE VIRGINIA CLASS SUBMARINE.(DoD) Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a$48,219,204 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously awarded contract(N00024-00-C-2112) to exercise an option for developmental studies anddesign efforts relative to the Virginia class submarine. Work will beperformed in Groton, Conn.

(94 percent), Quonset, R.I. (five percent) andNewport, R.I. (one percent), and is expected to be completed bySeptember 2003. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the currentfiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is thecontracting activity.
