MARINE DOCK INAUGURATED

TX According to Al-Hayat newspaper (August 30, 2002), the Egyptian government will inaugurate a marine dock tomorrow to trade oil products and petroleum derivatives. The new dock, which is located in the Al-Dekhella seaport in Alexandria, belongs to the Middle East Tanks and Pipelines Company (MEDTAP).
The Egyptian Prime Minister and Ministers of Transport and Oil will participate in the dock inauguration ceremony. This is the first marine dock to be established in Egypt based on the B.O.T system, whereby the government took no part in the project. The dock is 300 meters long and 40 meters wide.
