NOKIA PROVIDES OI IN BRAZIL WITH MMS

Oi has launched its multimedia messaging (MMS) service in Brazil,supplied by Nokia, enabling customers in Rio de Janeiro to use new rich messagesand content.It is the first end-to-end mms solution supplied by Nokia to belaunched in Latin America. Commercial MMS services includes person-to-person MMS,which is a greatly enriched version of SMS with the capability of sendingphotographs, pictures and voice or sounds together with text messages.Also available is a range of content-download services allowing usersto deliver ready- made color postcard type of messages to friends withtheir favorite pictures or animated cartoons.
