INFOSYS GLOBE'S MOST PROFITABLE FIRM

India's Infosys is the most profitable software company globally withan operating margin (OM) of 32.1 per cent while HCL Technologies, Satyam, TCS and Wipro follow closely, according to a research study by Nasscom. HCL Technologies follows Infosys closely with an OM at 28.1 per cent, Satyam at 26.7 per cent, TCS with an OM of 25 per cent and Wipro comes fifth with an OM of 24.5 per cent in a list of 14 companies till the month of June 2002, the findings said.Not just profitability, Indian IT services companies are also among the largest global infotech companies in terms of revenue, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) research said.
