"GENERAL MOTORS" INAUGURATES CONSTRUCTION WORKS IN NEW SPARE PARTS DISTRIBUTION CENTER

According to Al-Khalij newspaper (December 10, 2002), General Motors has inaugurated construction works in its new regional center for spare parts' distribution in Jabel Ali free zone in Dubai. The new center, which aims to simplify distribution operations to the company's agents in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, will supply more than 20,000 different spare parts for all models of General Motors automobiles.
It is expected that the new center will be ready for operation in summer 2003. It should be mentioned that General Motors registered record sale numbers in the Middle East region during the last two years.
